The Marco Polo Project
I’ve had the pleasure since mid way through 2011 of seeing the development of an idea from the initial stages to a more and more fully formed and impactful not-for-profit organisation. The Marco Polo Project crowdsources translations of top Chinese bloggers to make the information more readily available for international audiences. In doing this it builds intercultural knowledge and awareness, as well as being an ideal building block in terms of translation experience for aspiring language learners.
